Program Description
Health and safety is currently of the utmost importance.
There is a strong connection between the health and wellbeing of employees and their work environment - whether on site, remote, or virtual. When employees feel valued, respected and satisfied in their jobs and work in safe and healthy environments, they are more likely to be more productive and committed to their work. The regulatory framework for providing a safe workplace is becoming increasingly stringent with penalties for non-compliance. When you earn Sheridan's Occupational Health and Safety Recognition of Achievement, you'll have the knowledge and skills to design and implement health and safety programs to reduce accidents in the workplace and maintain a company’s bottom line.
Students will begin to delve into complex and changing concepts such as workplace ergonomics, human physiology, WHMIS guidelines, environmental issues and impact, legislation requirements, and more.
