Taught by industry professionals, this course is designed to provide students with an understanding of different types of occasions and has a specific focus on wedding planning. Students learn how to develop client relations, sell event services and how to charge for event planning services. Topics covered include putting together an event concept, event budgets, creating the event contract, key clauses used by venues and creating the event design, including all elements of decor. The course utilizes case studies and guest speakers to enhance student understanding.
