Introductory Soil Science
Description
Students examine the soil as an integral part of our physical environment. Soil profile characteristics are studied in the context of soil-forming factors, pedogenic processes, and soil classification systems. Laboratory sessions include analysis of typical soil profiles in the field and methods of physical, chemical, and biological analysis of soil samples in the wet lab. This course is also offered as GEOG 3397.
