Electric Motors, Actuators, and Drives Micro-Credential

This course is delivered in a hybrid format combining virtual and in-person learning opportunities. Learners will have from March 21 - April 1, 2022 to complete the self-paced virtual course work. Upon completion of the course work, learners will then participate in hands-on instructor-led sessions with a choice of attending in-person at our North Campus on March 26-27, 2022 or April 2-3, 2022. Times and location will be available prior to the course starting. This course provides principles of AC, DC, Stepper, and Servo Motors including sizing and different wiring circuits. The course explains and compares different linear motion electrical actuators as well. In addition, the fundamental and application of variable frequency drives in the mechatronics systems will also be discussed.
