Canadian Employment Law
Description
Laws 6015 explores the principles of Canadian employment law, with an emphasis on current provincial and federal legislation impacting human resource management in non-unionized settings. Legislation that is explored includes the Ontario Human Rights Act, Employment Standards Act, Pay Equity Act, and The Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Students will also learn about the importance of well-drafted employment contracts and the legal implications of employment termination.
