Admission Criteria:

Recommended:
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  • With 6 Grade 12 U or M credits OR
  • Mature student status
Certificate Requirements:
  • 2 required courses: CSSH 105 and CSSH 205
  • 4 electives: 2 in Group A - Humanities and 2 in Group B - Social Sciences*
  • Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 1.67+
*Learners may select a course in Arabic (CARB), American Sign Language (CASL), Chinese (CCHN), French (CFRE), or Spanish (CSPN) as part of the Electives - Humanities category. However, an online placement test is required; visit the Department’s website for details.

To graduate, you must successfully complete, within your official time span, the requirements from the year you registered in the program.
