ABOUT THE CERTIFICATE
 
You learned the basics of accounting, economics and Canadian business law while earning your Core Level certificate. The Intermediate Level certificate will expand your knowledge of statistics, taxation, and business strategy. While completing this certificate, you'll learn how statistical analysis increasingly guides decision-making in today's competitive world. You'll see how the strategic management of information systems can maximize an organization's business capabilities and give it a competitive advantage in the "networked enterprise" reality of the 21st century. You'll also gain an understanding of the conceptual structure of the Income Tax Act and its administration, and how to formulate business strategy and put essential business management principles to work.
 
This certificate is your second step towards meeting the prerequisite requirements for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).

  • If you have already started to pursue the Accounting 1, 2, 3 or Management Accounting Fundamentals certificate, you will have until April 1, 2025 to complete it.
