ABOUT THE CERTIFICATE
This certificate covers the basic principles of financial and management accounting. You will learn how to measure and report financial transactions and will study how accounting theory applies to business transactions. You will also gain an understanding of how management accounting helps managers make short-term and long-term decisions. You'll emerge with a broad overview of economic theories—both micro and macro—and knowledge of how to apply them to current business issues. As well, you'll be introduced to the Canadian legal landscape as it applies to the administration and operation of businesses.
This certificate is your first step towards meeting the prerequisite requirements of CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).

- If you have already started to pursue the Accounting 1, 2, 3 or Management Accounting Fundamentals certificate, you will have until April 1, 2025 to complete it.
