The Office Administration - Health Services program will help you develop essential health care support skills such as:

  • Medical terminology
  • Anatomy for health administration
  • Medical transcription
  • Medical office procedures
  • Electronic health record management
  • Computerized OHIP billing
  • Diagnostic and lab procedures

A two-day-per-week work placement at some of Toronto's prestigious hospitals and health care clinics will allow you to put those skills to use in real-life experiences before you graduate.

Academic Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older). Grade 12 English (C or U), or equivalent (minimum grade required), or take the Centennial College English Skills Assessment for Admission.
Grade 11 Mathematics or Grade 12 (C, M, or U), or equivalent (minimum grade required), or take a Centennial College Math Skills Assessment for Admission.

Note: The prerequisites for entrance to the fourth semester Field Placement course (OAGN-262**) are:

1. Student must have successfully completed all semester 1, 2 and 3 Office Administration courses with an overall minimum GPA of 2.0.

2. Student must have a minimum "C" grade in COMM170/171

3. International Students must have their Coop Work Permit

* OAGN-262 is graded as a PASS/FAIL course only and does not have any positive effects on GPA
Total Placement hours: 196 hours. 2 days per week x 14 weeks.

Minimum Grade Required: Students require an overall minimum GPA of 2.0 and a minimum keyboarding speed of 50 wpm to graduate from the program.
