Medical Terminology (Micro-credential)

Description

The Medical Terminology program is designed for those who already have an administrative background and want to build entry-level medical language skills to communicate effectively within healthcare settings. There is a focus on medical terminology and terms related to common medical conditions, diagnostic tests, anatomy and physiology, and pharmacology.

A digital badge will be awarded upon successful completion of this Micro-credential. After successful completion of all courses in the Program of Study you must notify us via email. Once verified, a digital badge will be issued to you.
 
 
Admission Requirements
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) including Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U)
  • OR Grade 12 equivalency certificate achieved through College academic upgrading OR
  • Mature Student Status (19 years of age or older) with Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U)
  • You must maintain an overall average of 60% or a GPA of 2.0 in order to graduate
  • A minimum of 25% of courses must be completed through Durham College. Credits received through PLAR are not eligible for the residency requirement.
