The Indigenous Peoples Certificate in Indigegogy is brought to you by the Centre for Indigegogy and is designed for people who wish to develop their ability and capacity for bringing their own Indigenous ways of knowing and learning to their work and life. It will provide an opportunity for Indigenous people to learn together in a culturally-based manner to build capacity and participate in training in an experiential manner using Indigegogy practices. Participants will build their capacity to apply their new knowledge into community specific and culturally relevant contexts within their specific Indigenous territories, traditions, languages, cultures and work place. There are seven modules for the Indigenous Peoples Certificate in Indigegogy. Throughout each module the focus will be on a learning process rich in experiential, cultural, reflexive and practice-based learning. Each module is 14 hours (two days).
The Indigenous Peoples Certificate in Indigegogy is designed for Indigenous People - First Nations, Metis, Inuit (Status and non-Status peoples) and Indigenous people globally who wish to develop their capacity for bringing Indigenous ways of knowing and learning to their lives and work. Please do not register for the certificate if you are not Indigenous. If you have any questions about whether it is okay for you to register, we would encourage you to contact us at indigegogy@wlu.ca.
The modules are offered every year and you do not need to take the modules in order from the beginning. You can sign up for any module at any time.
Certificates will be awarded upon completion of six modules (84 hours of instruction).
There is a bundle discount of 20% off when registering for all 7 modules.
If you are a current WLU Indigenous Student, faculty or staff, please contact us to receive a 20% discount code. Discount cannot be combined with any other offer.
Full refunds 2 weeks prior to each module will be allowed minus a 10% administrative fee.
