About the program

In an increasingly complex work environment, the services of a competent human resources professional are highly valued. Human Resources professionals are problem solvers, talent seekers, researchers, and project coordinators. Courses in the Human Resources certificate program are approved by the Human Resources Professionals Association and meet the coursework requirements for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designations. This fully online program will cover various areas of human resources, including: talent acquisition and management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, HR analytics, and employment law. By exploring these critical topics, you will develop the skills needed to effectively navigate the complexities of the modern workplace and contribute to the success of any organization. You will have the opportunity to apply your learning through the use of peer-based projects, case studies, and interactive learning exercises. This hands-on approach allows you to develop problem-solving skills and gain confidence in your ability to handle real-world HR challenges.

Program information

All courses must be completed within 5 years of acceptance into the program.

Admission requirements
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, OR 19 years of age or older.
Note re: admission requirements
  • Students must be able to receive instruction, respond and research in the English language.
  • Previous and/or current human resources experience is an asset.
  • Credit may be given for qualifying courses that were successfully completed up to 5 hears prior to admission into the program.
