Micro-Credentials certify an individual’s achievements in specific skill sets and differ from traditional credentials, such as degrees or diplomas. They are shorter, personalized, and enables employment in specific roles. At the end of this program, you will receive an official document credential from Sheridan Continuing & Professional Studies.

Program Description
Students will begin to understand and utilize the main web developer languages, including HTML, CSS, jQuery, Javascript, and more. Students will begin to build responsive, fluid, and flexible websites, utilizing web design best practices and procedures. Students will be able to successfully build and host visually appealing websites that optimize the user experience.

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Create basic HTML and CSS pages
- Optimize websites using advanced layout and typography techniques
- Create fixed, fluid, and responsive websites
- Use jQuery to build, manipulate, edit, and add content to a website
Computer Requirements
Students must have their own laptop to participate in this program. A PC laptop is recommended, but not required. When on-campus, a laptop is required to bring to class.
Front-End Web Development Certificate
If you're interested in furthering your education in web development, our program Front-End Web Development Certificate is also available. This program consists of six (6) courses, including the three (3) fundamental courses part of this Micro-Credential. Students will expand their coding and web development knowledge to include content management systems, UX / UI design, and mobile website development. Students who are interested can easily pathway into our Certificate program after completion of their Micro-Credential.
