Training and Development

Description

In this Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) approved course, you will acquire the essential skills needed to analyze, design, deliver and evaluate a training and development course as part of a comprehensive Human Resource Model focused on enhancing the knowledge, skills and abilities of employees. You will utilize strategies for conducting a needs analysis that enables you to determine if training, versus performance management, is appropriate and design courses using lesson planning techniques that meet the needs of both employees and the organization. Focused on active learning and applicability to practice, you will learn how to build training activities that support integration and reinforcement of learning back to on-the-job activities and enhance performance improvement. You will also learn to evaluate training programs to determine if desired results have been achieved and identify improvements to content, design and delivery for future training  

Prerequisite(s): HRMT70006 Human Resource Administration or another post-secondary level HR fundamentals course.
