The Study and Evolution of the English Language

This course examines the evolution of the English language, the vocabulary, grammar, and production of English, and how English is used in the world. It pays special attention to the many varieties of English in different social contexts, around the world, and online in order to comprehend more fully how language affects our experience of life every day.
