The Accountable Professional
Description
This course will provide an introduction to ethical decision-making as applied to human service practice. Through class debate, discussion and exercises, students will examine the role of ethics, values and professional standards in professional social service work. Students will gain a thorough knowledge of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers' Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Students will learn to use an ethical decision-making model to assist them with their development of critical thinking skills.
