Strategic Training and Development
Description
This Graduate Certificate course supports students in gaining an understanding of both the role of training and development in human resources management and the procedures associated with the training and development function. Major topics will include needs analysis, program design and development, facilitation and program administration, and evaluation. Students will be introduced to the psychology of the adult learning processes on which training and development is based. Budgeting, cost/ benefit analysis, monitoring and controlling the training process, and post-training follow-up procedures will be integrated through case study analyses.
