SolidWorks - Foundational (Mechanical)
Description
The course covers part modeling, detailing and assembly design using SOLIDWORKS. Students will learn to use the basic functions in the software to create parts, assemblies and engineering drawings and will develop 3D models of mechanical designs using parametric techniques. The creation of 2D drawings of the parametric models will be examined, together with assembly drawings. The students will be introduced to product development and design processes and methods, including product specifications, concept development, engineering drawings, design for prototyping, and manufacturing.
