Project Communication and Employment Preparedness
Description
In this course, students will learn the inputs, tools and techniques, and outputs of the project communications management processes that make up the Project Communications Management Knowledge Area. In learning the tools and techniques, students, as future project managers will be able to understand, evaluate, integrate, and synthesize the information presented in the inputs, regardless of the format or mode (verbal, written, or via electronic means) used, and communicate clearly and effectively within and outside organizations that are impacted by projects using a range of social media tools and technologies, some of which are still emerging into common usage. Thus, students will learn to build their existing communication skills to a more professional, contemporary level, and apply the newly acquired skills in a project management context. In communicating with project stakeholders within and outside organizations, students will be able to improve their existing skills in developing and managing professional networks. The development and management of networks not only will help our students to meet project objectives but also facilitate career development, and future employability within and outside organizations.
