Payroll Compliance Legislation

Description

This is the first course towards the Canadian Payroll Association's (CPA) Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification program. Students will learn the payroll compliance responsibilities that affect organizations, be able to comprehend legislation and effectively communicate these to all stakeholders.

This course will provide students with the payroll-related legislation affecting organizations, as well as the tools to find information and apply that information to different payroll scenarios.

Important Notes:

  • Students must register and pay both Durham College and the CPA (students must register with the CPA at least two weeks prior to the start date of the course).
  • When you register with the CPA you receive access to the CPA online learning management system (which is a requirement of the course) and receive the textbook for the course.
  • Students must also be a current members of the CPA and have paid the annual membership fee.
  • Students must achieve a minimum of 65% on the final exam and a 65% overall in order to pass the course. To register and become a member please visit the CPA website at www.payroll.ca

Courses are delivered virtually through an interactive online platform. You require access to a computer with high-speed internet and camera for the duration of each class.
