Nursing Theory I
Description
This course introduces students to foundational concepts important to the discipline of nursing. Students will examine the concepts of client-centered care, professional practice, and theory-based knowledge, including the nursing process, caring, health promotion and illness prevention, and the importance of research as a basis for practice. Students will learn how critical thinking influences how nurses practice. A variety of strategies will be used to support students' exploration of these concepts.
