Nursing Practice I
Description
In this course, you will learn the foundational knowledge and skills needed to care for clients in a variety of health-care settings. In the lab setting, you will develop competence in infection prevention and control and safe body mechanics. You will learn how to collaborate with clients to support them with their activities of daily living. You will learn basic assessment skills related to skin assessment, movement, and vital signs. You will begin developing therapeutic nurse-client relationships framed within the College of Nurses' (CNOs') values of client well-being, client choice, privacy and confidentiality, respect for life, maintaining commitments, truthfulness, and fairness.
