NRSG Foundational Theory and Practice
Description
Foundational nursing knowledge and skills in a simulated setting will prepare students for professional practice within the community and hospital settings. Students will participate in service learning in the community and explore the influences of population health on communities. Additionally, students will apply theory, perform physical assessment skills and practice nursing care of clients in simulated lab settings and develop clinical decision making skills as it relates to assessment, basic nursing care and documentation. Students will also complete accurate medication dosage calculations.
