Modern Canada
Description
A broad survey of Canadian history after 1850 exploring social, political, military, economic, and cultural perspectives. Issues examined can include political struggles and development, aboriginal claims and conflicts, immigration, social reform, regionalism, gender, modernization, and multiculturalism. The course content will address such topics as Canadas involvement in overseas conflicts, the Great Depression, constitutional adjustments, and Canadas changing place in the world.
