Introductory Management Accounting

Description

This course introduces a variety of product and function costing systems used in both manufacturing and service industries in the determination of income. Concepts and methods of allocating indirect costs in various costing environments will be examined and applied from a management perspective. The usefulness and limitations of accounting data for decision-making, including ethical considerations, will be discussed. The emphasis is on the contribution of accounting information to management business decisions.
