Engage in this 90-minute micro-certification to discover the guiding principles of trauma-informed care when working with individuals and families. Develop an understanding of the components of trauma, including identifying and giving examples of the types and events that cause trauma. Learn to ask questions that can help identify and explain the signs and symptoms of trauma, including common events, experiences and effects. Build your awareness of concepts related to the effects of trauma exposure on those working in the helping professions including the impact of compassion fatigue and how to build resilience through self-care.
