Introduction to the Caribbean
Description
This course will focus on the similarities in the historical development of the different societies in the Caribbean region and the common institutional structures and challenges that persist, despite the diversity of language and culture, race, ethnicity, and religion. The course will examine the relationship between physical resources and social, economic and political developments within the colonial and neocolonial context and the resulting systems of inequality.
