Description

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the profession of social service work. Social Service Workers are committed to anti-oppressive practices and working for social justice. This course examines the social structures that influence people's lives and how various sources and forms of oppression shape individuals, families and communities. This course is designed to introduce students to social service work principles to be able to work with diverse populations in the Canadian setting.
