Introduction to Psychology

This course is a survey of contemporary psychology with reference to its historical development and emphasis on its present status and scientific methodology.  The biosocial bases of behaviour, development and personality, motivation, emotion, perception and learning. It involves scaling of behavioural variables, some descriptive statistics, and some elementary experiments and other practical work are included.
