Introduction to Critical Care Nursing
Description
In this course, the nurse will be provided with a discussion on the legal and ethical aspects of critical care nursing and the characteristics of different types of environments where critical care nursing is provided (ER, ICU, Cardiac Sciences, Post Anesthetic Care etc). The standards of critical care will be discussed and evidence will be used to inform students' practice. The emphasis will be placed on current issues and complexities in critical care settings. The course will incorporate current evidence. The course will be offered using a hybrid course delivery model.
