Introduction to Clinical Research

This course is designed to orient students to the Drug Development Process and the clinical research function within the corporate and regulatory context from Canadian and international perspectives. Development of drugs is used as a model. However, similar principles are applicable to devices and biologics. Basic concepts in clinical research, such as trial designs, trial phases, randomization, and blinding will be discussed.
