Intervention Strategies For Child Youth Care
Description
An introduction to the concepts, principles, and procedures underlying the practice of Child and Youth Care in treatment and care programs for children, youth and their families. Emphasis on the application of relational practice to the development and use of therapeutic milieus (environments) that includes physical settings, relationships, behaviour management techniques and a variety of intervention strategies that enhance the life space of youth. Apply these concepts to specific case studies and formulate a basic level youth plan of care using a strength based and resiliency viewpoint in conjunction with a trauma-informed perspective.
