Group Counselling for Addictions and Mental Health Practitioners
Description
This course provides an opportunity for students to develop knowledge and skills in facilitating counselling groups with individuals who are experiencing issues related to addictions and mental health. Students study group theory, group dynamics and group process and apply their knowledge to group facilitation. Practical application is emphasized and each student experiences leading, facilitating and participating in simulated groups.
