Free English classes - Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)

Our classes offer the flexibility you need:
  • Full-time and part-time options.
  • Morning, afternoon and evening classes.
  • Blended classes (a mix of in-person and online learning) and online classes only.
More than 15 classes available to suit the needs of students with benchmarks ranging from level 1 up to 7 or 8, including:
  • LINC Youth classes for students 18-25 yrs. old with (benchmarks 1 to 5)
  • LINC College Preparation for students who want to go to college (minimum benchmarks 6)
In the LINC class, you will:
  • Improve your communication in English and express yourself with confidence.
  • Learn about housing, banking, education, how to get a job and more.
  • Make new and valuable connections.
  • Access useful resources at the college.
  • Get prepared for the demands of college if this is one of your goals.
  • Receive one-on-one support from an experienced team of professionals.

Who is eligible?
To be eligible, you must:
  • Be a permanent resident of Canada, a protected person (with Notice of Decision), or a Ukrainian temporary resident or their dependents;
  • Be 18 years old or older;
  • Live in Ontario;
  • Have valid proof of your Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) assessment at the required level of the class of your interest.

  • The assessment has no cost for permanent residents and protected persons.
