Design and CAD Complex Project

The Seniors demographic is an expanding group; the need for well designed Seniors Housing has never been greater. This course will investigate the specific design parameters required in Seniors Housing; two models will be studied - Assisted Living and Assisted Care. The regulatory framework that controls Seniors Housing will also be reviewed.

 

Students will organize into Teams to investigate and analyse Seniors Housing in conjunction with supportive facilities in a single complex building. Uses will include: i) residential; ii) institutional; and iii) commercial. Students will work to develop both Design and Construction Documentation of the complex building.
