Dementia Studies
Description
This course covers the various forms of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease, as well as their assessment and diagnosis. The course explores holistic models of caring for dementia clients and their care partners, including the appropriate physical and emotional environment, and the effects of dementia on clients, care partners and the family unit. The course emphasizes the retention of quality of life for people with dementia and their care partners.
