Curriculum Development III - Early Childhood Education
Description
In this course, students will use the principles and guidelines of curriculum development to design, implement and evaluate inclusive and play-based programs that support children's holistic development- physical cognitive/language, and social/emotional. Emphasis will continue to be placed on the roles of play, creativity, and literacy in the development of the curriculum. Areas of exploration will be specific to children between birth and 12 years. Within this age range, a variety of subjects related to the cognitive domain will be studied.
