Computerized Accounting: Simply

To provide the student with experience in maintaining computerized accounting records using Sage 50 Accounting educational version software, formerly known as Simply Accounting software. (Software version and accompanying textbook edition are listed in the Required Resources section of this outline, alternate versions for graded assessments not accepted.) A by-product of this experience will be the reinforcement of accounting principles, concepts and processes introduced in ACCT111. Through their coursework, the student will determine and prepare computerized transactions and related financial reports in the appropriate Sage 50 Accounting software modules. The student will interpret financial statements and make decisions concerning required adjustments to the financial statements.
