Community and Justice Resources
Description
Those working in the community and justice field must have a strong awareness of the resources and services available to assist their clientele. Students investigate available services and programs for youth and adults who have had a conflict with the law as well as programs designed to support survivors of violence. This includes programs inside institutions, alternatives to incarceration, after-care and transitional housing programs, and community services. Topics are discussed in a seminar-type learning environment, enhanced by guest speakers from various community and institutional resources.
