Cannabis in Healthcare

Description

This course provides students with a template for having conversations around medical cannabis with patients in a medical practice environment. The course examines the use of medical cannabis as an alternative therapy, reviews current topics in cannabinoid therapy, and discusses the evidence for its potential benefits and harms. Students will also learn how to provide an effective referral to a local cannabinoid expert clinician (Cannabis Clinic) to ensure the optimization of patient health.
