Description
In order to support clients, it is necessary to understand the systems and institutions which have a significant impact on their lives. Students examine the roles and functions of each component of the Canadian criminal justice system - police, courts, and corrections. Students become familiar with how these components relate to each other and how legislation impacts the system as a whole. Through assignments and presentations, students explore contemporary issues relating to the field.
