Canadian Criminal Justice System

This introductory course provides students with an overview of the Canadian criminal justice system, with a particular emphasis on the function, role and organization of Canadian law enforcement services. The operation of the criminal justice system will be examined and analyzed in light of contemporary issues affecting the system. Each of the major components from enforcement through the courts and correctional services will be explored
