Business Principles

This course is designed to provide non-business students entering the Project Management (Post-Graduate Certificate) program with an understanding of the fundamentals of business. In this practical course, the student will explore all of the major functional areas and/or aspects of a business in the contemporary global economic environment, including Marketing, Operations, Resource Management, Business Ethics, Economics, International Business, finance and accounting and Customer Requirements Management. The students will be able to discuss each topic in relation to their background and relate the relevance of the business concepts to their learning of Project Management.
