Biology I

Description

In this course, students will be introduced to the concepts of human anatomy and physiology. Students will explore the human body and the principles of introductory cellular chemistry, the cell and mitosis. Students will examine DNA structure and replication. Students will analyze gene mutations. Students will review how genes are expressed through the process of transcription and translation, and the role that RNA plays in protein synthesis. Furthermore, students will explore the integumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous systems.
