Biochemistry
Description
Protein structure and function is a central theme in a large part of modern research and the biotechnology industry. In order to understand biological and biochemical processes at the molecular level, it is often necessary to know the structure and function of a specific protein. This course provides both theory and laboratory-based knowledge and skills focusing on qualitative and quantitative analysis of amino acids and isolated proteins. The utility of proteins in biotechnology will also be explored using immunological and other relevant techniques.
