Applied Excel
Description
Using a hands-on approach, students develop extensive knowledge in solving problems and managing data using Microsoft Excel. Building on the topics studied in Microcomputer Applications, students explore advanced topics in MS Excel and learn how to create and analyze spreadsheets using Pivot Tables and Charts, and Excel’s "What-If" analysis tools. Students also learn many of Excel’s advanced functions, including logical and conditional, lookup and reference, financial, date and time, and how to use custom and database functions. Students acquire knowledge of how to protect and share their workbooks.
Prerequisite(s): COMP 1003 or COMP 1065
