API Engineering and Cloud Computing

Building on .NET programming and database courses, this course exposes the students to cloud computing technologies, RESTful API, containerization, container orchestration and Serverless technologies. Coursework will focus on how to develop/publish scalable applications on PaaS, how to develop/deploy/manage/monitor/consume RESTful APIs, and how to develop Serverless applications. Students will also explore some components of specific cloud platforms, such as AWS EC2 service, AWS IAM service, storage service, cloud database service, DynamoDB service, API management tool, etc.
