Description

Our Administering SQL Databases: 764 course teaches you how to secure an SQL database through the use of security models, users, and user roles. Learn how partially contained databases are used to ensure data is not compromised in the event of a breach as well as how encryption is used to protect data within a database server. Explore how to backup and restore databases in the event of a catastrophic server event and how to audit a server to determine any server-related issues or operating system errors.

COURSE ESSENTIALS:
You must have Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Express Edition (which can be downloaded for free from Microsoft). This software requires a computer with a 2 GHz (or greater) processor, 8 GB (or greater) RAM, and a Microsoft Windows 8 (or higher) 64-bit operating system. (You can complete this course using a 32-bit operating system but, if you wish to move on from this course, you will need a 64-bit operating system.)

Prerequisites
You must have completed our COMP 9691 Querying Data with Transact-SQL: 761 (Online) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
